Seniors 2012 ~ It is not too late!
All of you lovely Elko County 2012 Seniors, it is not too late to get amazing portraits! Weather in northern Nevada is notoriously unpredictable, but if you wait for that perfect weekend it WILL be too late.
Give me a call today and we can set an appointment and then capture amazing images no mater what.
Snowy weather in the canyon as far as the road is open gives way to clear weather and beautiful backdrops at the bottom.
Even an actively snowy day can create magic.
Of course we might get lucky and have some snow melt and the first buds of green and color popping through.
Don’t wait any longer! You want to have those images in time to send out with announcements.
And of course if the weather turns really nasty we can always hang out in the Studio. Signature Studio Sessions are a great option any time of year.
email me at melissa@wingsofbluephoto.com or call775-340-5518 for more information. OR contact Samantha to get one of her Senior rep cards and get a bonus with your order!
2013 Seniors don’t procrastinate! I am looking for a limited number of Senior representatives for next year. Email me for an application if you are interested.

Wedding day photography is of course fantastic but I LOVE it when I get some time with just the Bride! It is especially great if we can get some time before the wedding. It is a fantastic time to relax, get creative and create some amazing images.
And don’t forget to bring the Groom along too!
And if there just isn’t a way to steal some time in the busy days before the wedding sometimes I can sneak the Bride and Groom away for a few minutes near sunset.

2011 has been a whirl wind and unfortunately blogging has fallen by the wayside. Which is a bummer because I haven’t been able to showcase all the wonderful people I have met and photographed this year, and I have been able to meet many, many wonderful people. I’ve been photographing up a storm in Elko and Lamoille, and sneaking in shoots in Spring Creek in between. I was even able to go over to Utah and photograph a wedding with a gorgeous Wasatch Mountain backdrop.
Looking back I got through all my spring seniors, but didn’t show off the gorgeous spring engagements I had this year. Yes we had a snowy, snowy, wet spring. These couple were such troopers! Snow, rain, wind they didn’t let that dampen their love!

In addition to these lovely engaged couples, I photographed some already married couples very much still in love.
LOVE Love.
Engaged or married, it is a beautiful thing. Call Wings of Blue Photography today to book your session.
Spring Creek HS Senior ~ Ed
Ed is AWESOME. Ed contacted me about his Senior pictures during the crush to get them done and out before graduation. He works with Lacy, another one of my Spring Creek HS Seniors, and had loved her pictures. The weather this spring has been absolutely nuts. Snow, wind rain, oh.. who am I kidding mostly snow. The day we were scheduled to do Ed’s pictures was no different. What to do, what to do? Ed had to work out in Lamoille that afternoon anyways so I told him let’s go for it. Let’s at least try to get a few. Bare minimum we should be able to at least get a good one to send out in your announcements and then if we have to reschedule to get more another day we can. I am SO SO SO glad that we went out. It snowed the whole time, but it was perfect. It was one of those odd magical snowfalls where the clouds are super close to the ground and big puffy flakes are falling with no wind. Because the clouds were so thin and close to the ground there was actually a ton of light coming through. Have I said yet that I loved this session? ‘Cause I did! Ed came totally prepared with several outfits. we went through them at the beginning of the session and figured out which outfits would go with which locations and then set out to create the vintage vision that Ed had for his pictures. He was a joy to work with .
Thank you Ed for choosing Wings of Blue Photography to capture this slice of your life. Congratulations on graduation and good luck with your future endeavors!

Jessica ~ Spring Creek HS Senior
I am so excited to show you Jessica’s images. I first met this talented young lady back in the fall when I photographed the Spring Creek High School Band and High Expectations Chior.
Needless to say I was thrilled when she contacted me about Senior portraits. The Elko area weather has been absolutely crazy this spring making these last minute Senior Portraits a bit of challenge, but not insurmountable! We had to put off the day twice but we did get a lovely afternoon to shoot finally. It was still a little chilly but Jessica was an absolute trooper. A girl after my own heart she was wearing flip flops.
Congratulations Jessica!
